Mirka Morales is a Puerto Rican artist currently based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She works in 16mm film, digital media and analog stop-motion animation techniques. Select titles in her filmography include Elfmädchen, Imum Coeli (Bottom of the Sky) and Reciprocity Failure. Her work has screened in various presentations at Antimatter and Deluge Contemporary Art in Victoria, and at experimental film festivals such as Chicago Underground, where Elfmädchen received Best Animation Award in 2009.
